ATTRACTIONS

Les Rives Tour / Sampan In The Mekong Delta

Les Rives Tour / Sampan In The Mekong Delta

Cu Chi Tunnels. Preserved in two locations, this network of underground tunnels outside of HCMC is a fascinating relic of the Vietnam War. Using these tunnels as a virtually invisible base, the Vietcong managed to evade (and to kill) many American GIs. www.en.diadaocuchi.com.vn

Les Rives Experience. Explore this part of Vietnam by speedboat with Les Rives. Options include one- and two-day speedboat tours of the Mekong Delta, speedboat tours to the Cu Chi Tunnels, and Saigon River sunset cruises. www.lesrivesexperience.com

Reunification Palace, 106 Nguyen Du, HCMC. This striking 1960s building is most notable for its symbolic role in the fall of Saigon in April 1975, when North Vietnamese tanks and troops breached its gates. The building interior has remained virtually unchanged ever since.

War Remnants Museum, 28 Vo Van Tan, HCMC. Once known as the Museum of Chinese and American War Crimes, this museum chillingly depicts the effects of the Vietnam War on its civilian victims. www.warremnantsmuseum.com
