DESCRIPTION:Reykjavik Pride is Iceland’s biggest annual event and is fondly referred to as “the world’s biggest small Pride!“ \nReykjavik Pride has been an annual event in Reykjavik since 1999\, with the first Reykjavik Pride Parade taking place in August 2000. However\, its history goes back to 1993\, when Icelandic gays and lesbians first gathered in Reykjavik’s city center\, demanding freedom and human rights. Protestors gathered again in 1994. \nReykjavik Pride is organized and held by the not-for-profit organization Hinsegin dagar í Reykjavik – Reykjavík Pride. Any profit or surplus funds the organization raises are used to improve the events and support the LGBT+ communities. SUMMARY:Copenhagen Pride Week 2025
DESCRIPTION:Smaller pride events were held in Copenhagen as early as the early 1970s. Copenhagen Pride began in 1996\, when Copenhagen was the European City of Culture and home to that year’s Europride. From 1998 the festival was called Mermaid Pride and in 2004 it changed its name to Copenhagen Pride .\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCopenhagen Pride Week has seen various changes since its inception. From 1999\, the Pride was moved from June to August. In 2001\, there was an episode where some young locals threw stones at the pride as it walked down Nørrebrogade\, which was resolved through dialogue between Pride organizers\, the police and the boys’ parents. In 2009\, the parade grew even larger on the occasion of the World Outgames with sports\, culture and a conference. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCopenhagen Pride Week\nPride Week is characterized by two things in particular: the parade\, which always takes place on Saturday\, and more than 100 events held throughout the week\, which take place from Tuesday to Sunday. During the week\, debates\, workshops\, cultural events\, sports events\, etc. are held. Copenhagen Pride Week is held with the City Hall Square as the central location\, as well as at a number of venues around the City Hall Square. For many years\, the Human Rights Program has been held from the Rainbow Square.

The name Fierté de Québec symbolizes this vibrant and inclusive experience. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nL’Alliance\nArc-en-ciel de Québec\n\n\n\n\nThe Alliance Arc-en-ciel de Québec is a community organization based in the Capitale-Nationale. It is a leading advocate for the rights of individuals from gender and sexual diversity (GSD).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSince its founding in 2004\, the organization has built a strong reputation as an event organizer. In addition to organizing the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia in Quebec City every May 17th and Quebec City Pride\, the Alliance Arc-en-ciel develops various projects to raise awareness and engage the public on the issues and realities faced by individuals from gender and sexual diversity (GSD) communities. DESCRIPTION:Southern Decadence started over fifty years ago as a simple going-away party. As a top gay Labor Day Weekend destination\, it has evolved into one of our world’s major annual events.  It is one of the largest annual celebrations and festivals in New Orleans\, and has become known as the “Gay Mardi Gras.”  People begin to arrive on the Wednesday before Labor Day\, and generally don’t even think about stopping or going home until the following Tuesday. \nRecent attendance has broken all records\, with over 275\,000 gay\, lesbian\, bisexual and transgender participants\, and an economic impact estimated to be in excess of $285 million. Southern Decadence is one of the top five annual events in the City of New Orleans\, along with Mardi Gras\, Jazz Fest\, Essence Festival\, and French Quarter Festival.  As Liberace once said\,  “Too much of a good thing is wonderful.”

SUMMARY:Porto Pride 2025
DESCRIPTION:History\nPorto Pride is the oldest Pride event in northern Portugal\, held since 2001\, long before the first LGBTI+ Pride March in the city\, which only took place in 2006 after the tragic death of Gisberta Salce Júnior. \nIn 2019\, everything changed. Under the motto “Giving colour to Porto”\, we stopped being a private party\, with paid tickets\, and transformed the event into a free\, open-air celebration\, open to everyone. The 2019 edition was an incredible success\, with more than 10\,000 people celebrating in Praça de D. João I. Since then\, we have continued to grow\, always with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusion.

SUMMARY:St. Cloud Pride 2025
DESCRIPTION:Our Mission\nSt. Cloud Pride was started in 2010 to raise awareness regarding issues of heterosexism\, homophobia and transphobia within the Central Minnesota community. The first annual St. Cloud Pride celebration was attended by an estimated 1\,700 people and has grown to over 8\,000 attendees in recent years. Our major focus is to provide education\, resources and event opportunities to the LGBTQ+ community throughout the year. Members of St. Cloud Pride range from all aspects of the Lesbian\, Gay\, Bisexual\, Transgender\, Queer\, Questioning\, Intersex\, Asexual\, Ally spectrum\, and share the goal of making sure everyone takes pride in themselves. This means providing assistance when people most need it. We ultimately work to create safe space and partner with community members to spread the affirmation of equality. \nOur Vision\nThrough the organization’s mission and cooperative community members\, we hope for a drastic decrease in discrimination and for all those who spread messages of equality to have their voices heard. Academic settings with reduced bullying and students possessing a greater sense of self love and acceptance for others would only create healthier environments in which to succeed. Workplaces with positive interactions and celebration of diversity could truly make for a more productive and cohesive society. While we believe a lot of good happens in our community\, we know constant work must be done to promote positive change. We cannot do this without YOU! \nPride Celebrating Love and Diversity\nWe are all beautiful and unique\, making our community an here in Central Minnesota an especially great place in which to interact. Have pride in being your best self and know a positive difference is made every time you show your colors!

SUMMARY:Rotterdam Pride Festival 2025
DESCRIPTION:After a year’s absence\, Rotterdam Pride Festival will return this year with a new edition on Saturday  27 September 2025. The festival will take place on  Willemsplein  and will conclude  Pride Week \, which runs from  19 to 28 September . The organisation of Rotterdam Pride Festival 2025 is in the hands of  Bureau Vermaeck \, in collaboration with various Rotterdam parties that represent the interests of the LGBTQIA+ community . Together they join forces to once again create space for visibility\, meeting and celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community in the city. \nThe last edition of Rotterdam Pride Festival took place in June 2023 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary. In 2024\, the festival was cancelled due to financial problems of the then organization. In the summer of 2024\, Bureau Vermaeck took the initiative to bring Pride Festival back to the city. Because a city without Pride Festival is a city without a heart for all Rotterdammers. Rotterdam Pride Festival is not only a moment of celebration\, but also of visibility\, meeting and solidarity. It is an essential platform for emancipation and the celebration of diversity.

DESCRIPTION:OUR STORY\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIt all started at The Little Fleet…\n…in 2014\, when a group of 2SLGBTQIA+ community members gathered to discuss the need to represent and celebrate the queer community in Northern Michigan. \nThe gathering was prompted when a straight-identified mother of four asked why there wasn’t a Pride festival in Traverse City and how important she felt it was to raise her children in a community that celebrated diversity. \nWith the overflowing support of The Little Fleet owners Gary and Allison Jonas\, founders Jonny Cameron\, Elon Cameron\, and Marta Turnbull moved quickly to organize a Visibility March on the sidewalks of downtown Traverse City\, followed by a small gathering at The Little Fleet. \nIn the years since the original march\, Up North Pride has grown to be the largest participant-driven LGBTQ+ Pride March in Michigan— now attracting more than 8\,000 attendees each year—and Michigan’s premier destination Pride Celebration\, as well as a leader in Northern Michigan’s LGBTQ+ advocacy. \nJoin us as we continue our work to make Northern Michigan a more diverse\, inclusive\, and safe place for everyone.
