Tell us about yourself.
My name is Michael Chen and I am 32 years old. I was born in Taiwan and grew up in Hawaii and the suburbs of Chicago. I call myself a world traveler, animal lover, foodie, and I enjoy watching movies, hanging out with friends, and being outdoors as much as possible. I am a senior producer at agencyEA, a brand experience agency specializing in event and experiential marketing.

How long have you been living in Chicago?
I moved to the city about seven years ago.

A friend is coming to the city for the first time… Please describe the perfect weekend in Chicago.
On Friday, we would have a light dinner and bar hop on Randolph Street in the West Loop. Some of my favorites are Bar Siena (www.barsiena.com), Soho House (www.sohohousechicago.com), Green Street Smoked Meats (www.greenstreetmeats.com), and Avec (www.avecrestaurant.com). On Saturday, we would walk down Michigan Avenue for some shopping and then visit Millennium Park and see “The Bean” (Cloud Gate sculpture) followed by a light lunch and cocktail at Cindy’s Rooftop (www.cindysrooftop.com) overlooking the city. For the evening, we would dive into some deep-dish pizza at Pequod’s Pizza (www.pequodspizza.com) and go see a comedy show at Second City (www.secondcity.com). Following the show, we’d have a crazy night out in Boystown and dance the night away! Sunday would definitely involve a boozy brunch.

Do you have a favorite restaurant (or two) to recommend?
I am a big fan of Sunda (www.sundachicago.com), Bavette’s (www.bavettessteakhouse.com), Radio Anago (www.radioanago.com), and Big Star (www.bigstarchicago.com).

Pease finish this sentence: Don’t leave Chicago without…
Checking out a rooftop bar or patio, going to a street festival, eating deep-dish pizza.
