SUMMARY:Luxembourg Pride 2025
DESCRIPTION:Luxembourg Pride\n\n\nThe Luxembourg Pride was created in 1999 and will be celebrated for the 25nd time in 2024 and\, since 2010\, for the 14th time in a row in Esch-sur-Alzette\, the iron metropolis. The festival is organised by the non-profit organisation Rosa Lëtzebuerg\, a voluntary organisation which since its foundation in 1996 has been defending the rights of LGBT people living in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. \nLet’s go back to the beginning of the festival in 1999 when a few enthusiasts from the Rosa Lëtzebuerg asbl decided to gather at the Place du Théâtre in Luxembourg City to raise awareness about homosexuality among the general public. Gradually the few information stands gave way to a larger event on the Place d’Armes. In 2009 the Gaymat passed the threshold of 1000 visitors. \nIn 2010 the organizers decided to change the concept of the Gaymat. With a change of site from Luxembourg-City to Esch-sur-Alzette\, Gaymat has taken on another dimension and it has been transformed into a real festival\, offering a complete programme over a whole week: exhibitions\, political debates\, scientific colloquiums\, film screenings\, round tables and a closing evening.

However\, the fundamentally volunteer structure defines the entire association\, and thus also the CSD team. Fees or salaries are paid only for core tasks and in core areas necessary to maintain the association and ensure the CSD demonstration and the CSD finale. DESCRIPTION:Time to sashay and parade through the city in a positive and festive atmosphere during Antwerp Pride! \n Pride is protest\, more important than ever in this time! What better way to protest than to show who we are and what we stand for in all our beautiful colors during Antwerp’s Pride celebrations. \n The Parade starts at 2:00 PM and immediately dives into the Brouwersvliet and then heads towards the Scheldt. The route then goes along the river and at the Sint-Jansvliet where we make a turn into the Kloosterstraat\, past the statue of Peter the Great – under whose rule Russia was still tolerant of homosexuality – into the Scheldestraat and then towards the grounds of the Love United Festival on the Cockerillkaai where the party can get going. It’s a fantastic way to join Antwerp Pride.  \nIf you’re coming to watch the parade\, there are great views from anywhere along the route\, so spread out along the route to cheer on your favorite floats! For the exact route\, check out our map!  \nBut what if it gets hot at Antwerp Pride?! \nNo problem\, we have a plan! Water points will be provided throughout the parade\, thanks to the support of Waterlink\, so you can stay hydrated throughout the day. These can also be found on our map. So be sure to bring a non-disposable bottle\, so you can slay the day! Be sure to bring a parasol or a hat\, and apply plenty of sunscreen to those pretty legs! Prevention is always the best option while enjoying Antwerp Pride. \n There are certainly enough shady spots along the Parade\, especially at the Oudeleeuwenrui\, Brouwersvliet and the Kloosterstraat\, making your day at Antwerp Pride comfortable.

DESCRIPTION:Reykjavik Pride is Iceland’s biggest annual event and is fondly referred to as “the world’s biggest small Pride!“ \nReykjavik Pride has been an annual event in Reykjavik since 1999\, with the first Reykjavik Pride Parade taking place in August 2000. However\, its history goes back to 1993\, when Icelandic gays and lesbians first gathered in Reykjavik’s city center\, demanding freedom and human rights. Protestors gathered again in 1994. \nReykjavik Pride is organized and held by the not-for-profit organization Hinsegin dagar í Reykjavik – Reykjavík Pride. Any profit or surplus funds the organization raises are used to improve the events and support the LGBT+ communities. SUMMARY:Copenhagen Pride Week 2025
DESCRIPTION:Smaller pride events were held in Copenhagen as early as the early 1970s. Copenhagen Pride began in 1996\, when Copenhagen was the European City of Culture and home to that year’s Europride. From 1998 the festival was called Mermaid Pride and in 2004 it changed its name to Copenhagen Pride .\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCopenhagen Pride Week has seen various changes since its inception. From 1999\, the Pride was moved from June to August. In 2001\, there was an episode where some young locals threw stones at the pride as it walked down Nørrebrogade\, which was resolved through dialogue between Pride organizers\, the police and the boys’ parents. In 2009\, the parade grew even larger on the occasion of the World Outgames with sports\, culture and a conference. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCopenhagen Pride Week\nPride Week is characterized by two things in particular: the parade\, which always takes place on Saturday\, and more than 100 events held throughout the week\, which take place from Tuesday to Sunday. During the week\, debates\, workshops\, cultural events\, sports events\, etc. are held. Copenhagen Pride Week is held with the City Hall Square as the central location\, as well as at a number of venues around the City Hall Square. For many years\, the Human Rights Program has been held from the Rainbow Square.

SUMMARY:Porto Pride 2025
DESCRIPTION:History\nPorto Pride is the oldest Pride event in northern Portugal\, held since 2001\, long before the first LGBTI+ Pride March in the city\, which only took place in 2006 after the tragic death of Gisberta Salce Júnior. \nIn 2019\, everything changed. Under the motto “Giving colour to Porto”\, we stopped being a private party\, with paid tickets\, and transformed the event into a free\, open-air celebration\, open to everyone. The 2019 edition was an incredible success\, with more than 10\,000 people celebrating in Praça de D. João I. Since then\, we have continued to grow\, always with the aim of promoting diversity and inclusion.

SUMMARY:Rotterdam Pride Festival 2025
DESCRIPTION:After a year’s absence\, Rotterdam Pride Festival will return this year with a new edition on Saturday  27 September 2025. The festival will take place on  Willemsplein  and will conclude  Pride Week \, which runs from  19 to 28 September . The organisation of Rotterdam Pride Festival 2025 is in the hands of  Bureau Vermaeck \, in collaboration with various Rotterdam parties that represent the interests of the LGBTQIA+ community . Together they join forces to once again create space for visibility\, meeting and celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community in the city. \nThe last edition of Rotterdam Pride Festival took place in June 2023 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary. In 2024\, the festival was cancelled due to financial problems of the then organization. In the summer of 2024\, Bureau Vermaeck took the initiative to bring Pride Festival back to the city. Because a city without Pride Festival is a city without a heart for all Rotterdammers. Rotterdam Pride Festival is not only a moment of celebration\, but also of visibility\, meeting and solidarity. It is an essential platform for emancipation and the celebration of diversity.
